Cloud Hosting

"It's stored in the cloud", "The magic of the cloud", and "It's up there in the sky" are common expressions that you hear when people talking about storing their documents, websites and more online. But what is the cloud?

The complicated answer can take a degree to understand, so we will provide the short answer. The "Cloud" is a collection of computers/servers that can be used for hire through providers like AWS or Microsoft Azure. So, for example, if you need somewhere to host your website, hire it. Need more, then hire some more. This can be used across almost anything from data storage, to computer processing and more. With this approach, you only pay for what you're using.

Our technical team have leveraged the cloud to offer website high performance and scalable website hosting where we can easily grow our hosting solutions along with your business needs.

Virtual Private Server Hosting

Also known as VPS servers, Virtual Private Hosting servers is a mini server within another server. Sounds confusing? Let us break it down.

Let's say that you're looking to have your own server, but can't justify the costs. What you can do is hire part of a larger server, and load your own configuration onto it. Like a pizza, you can take 1/8th of the server or similar.

This gives you much more flexibility that the shared hosting solution (listed below), while helping keep costs low.

Shared Hosting

Most users on shared hosting don't know they are on shared hosting. Shared hosting often relies on a hosting management software such as cPanel.

These hosting management software breaks down the resources from the full server, and shares them out to each of the users. This type of hosting is very common, in particular small website, as it can share the costs of resources between users. When you sign up to an under $20 per month hosting platform, it's normally on shared hosting.

Dedicated Hosting

In a dedicated hosting solution, you'll have a hosting server all to yourself. This means no sharing resources with other users, which is great for data privacy. As you're not sharing any resources, this also means that you can optimise settings and options that work exactly as you need them.

Dedicated hosting solutions are the most expensive hosting option for the server size, which is why dedicated hosting solutions are becoming less and less common. The cost to run the solution is higher because you don't get to share the running or maintenance costs with other users.
